2002 South Carolina Governor's Quality Award Winner Announced

The South Carolina Quality Forum, administrators of the Governor's Quality Award proudly announces Bridgestone/Firestone South Carolina in Aiken, SC as the recipient of the 2002 South Carolina Governor's Quality Award.  This award is the highest level of recognition in the South Carolina State Quality Award process.

It's the quality of our people that insures the quality of our product," says Mike Rose, General Manager of Operations, BFSC.
 
Another organization will be recognized at this year's Governor's Quality Award Conference, October 7, 2002 at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Columbia.  McLeod Home Healthcare of Florence will receive the Bronze Achiever Award.  Mcleod Home Health personnel remarked, "implementing the Baldrige process is an ongoing endeavor in a progressive quality journey; we are pleased to have validation from the SC Quality Forum that we have taken the right approach with our implementation of the Baldrige criteria in the areas of leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, information and analysis, staff focus, process management, and organizational results.  McLeod Home Health began implementation of the Baldrige criteria into our operations just last year. While we appreciate this recognition, the greatest reward is evident in the benefit we have seen through the Baldrige process on patient care, staff interaction, and organizational operations on a daily basis."
